Cloudscape (2014)
At one time or another, you may have marvelled at the magnificent scenery of skies and become aware of your five senses being stimulated. Cloudscape is a light that brings scenes of clouds and the sun into your room. It is consisted of urethane foam on the surface of two sheets of plexiglass and a black ring studded with hidden RGB LEDs. By casting soft glows from different angles with controlled hue and brightness colors are mixed on the glass texture just like colors of the sky and the sun are vividly juxtaposed on the clouds. Cloudscape changes its lighting patterns to create various views from sunrise to sunset.
The organic shape of the urethane is crafted by peeling glued urethane foam off from a sheet of plexiglass.
